For all the lucky people in Holland or anybody over there who will make a visit to Holland this summer:
The Amsterdam film museum has planned a special Audrey Hepburn programm because of her 75th birthday. They're showing all her movies, including all the really old stuff I've never seen before. There's also a presentation of other Audrey items: posters, dolls and 7 dresses designed by Hubert de Givenchy for Audrey, one of them is the pink cocktaildress from BaT! For more info (in dutch) www.filmmuseum.nl
See you in Amsterdam!!

Excellent. They are showing Nederlands in zeven lessen (the short version) and Monte Carlo Baby - i haven't seen either of those! Not to mention those Givenchy dresses.

I wish I could go. I have never been to any Audrey museum and Amsterdam is not that far from me but I have to study this summer and probably won't be able to make it since it closes in September already
I would especially love to see the Givenchy dresses as the pink dress is one of my favourites. I think each of the dresses and coats and outfits that Givenchy made to Audrey are like small pieces of art. Have you ever dreamt of wearing one? I love the cut and the necklines...it is nice to dream

Varjak, if you go to the museum remember to report back
...and tell all about the pink dress

Where did you get the poster...with an autograph? That is very nice. I like the picture too...that is why I chose it as my avatar I will let you know if I make it to Amsterdam. It would be really nice to go but I doubt I have the time. I read on the official Audrey webpage that there is an exhibit in Japan that will move to Europe and the US in about two years. I wonder what that exhibit shows and which cities it will tour in Europe. The Netherlands is a lovely country and just like the Danes you enjoy biking
Are you familiar with the saying I quoted, the Dutch saying. I found it in the How to be Lovely book and liked it right away. It is life in a nutshell.

I got it from Kotte autographs in Germany: www.kotte-autographs.com
At www.historyforsale.com they also sell original autographs, but Kotte is a lot cheaper. I already had another original signed picture of Audrey, but when I saw this one... I just had to have it! So now I've got two! My friends think I'm crazy, but I'm sure you'll understand!
I've been thinking about the Dutch saying you quoted, but I'm not sure... I cannot think of the Dutch translation... but Audrey was right, that's how life goes... Oh, and I didnt know the Danes liked cycling that much! I have a bike but its old and no good, but I dont have money left to buy me a new one!!

I have the opportunity to go to at least one of these movies at the museum in Amsterdam. Below you'll find a list of films they will show at the museum. What movie(s) will/would you go to if you have/had the chance? I think it's great to see these films at the theatre. You can have them on DVD, but it's not the same as at the theatre. Will they show they these movies at the theatre ever again in the future or not? I know there are theatres that show classic films, but you have to know where and when. What do you think?

Thanks for your reply, Spellbound.
I will think about it. Does anyone else have got something to add?
