On January 13th, Paramount Pictures are releasing a 2 disc DVD version of Breakfast at Tiffany's as part of their Centennial Collection of classic movies - which also includes Roman Holiday and Sabrina. It appears that this is a re-packaging of the Anniversary Edition released in 2006 with the addition of a few extras: Henry Mancini: More than Music, Mr Yunioshi: An Asian Perspecitive, and Behind the Gates: The Tour.
If you do not own a copy of Breakfast at Tiffany's this is definitely the one to get. But, whilst the much improved picture quality is a justifiable reason to upgrade from the early DVD release (often included in Paramount boxed sets), we can't yet say if the additional extras are enough to justify an upgrade from the Anniversary Edition. As more people move to HD the next useful upgrade will probably be a Blu-ray release.
