Bob Willoughby, who photographed many of Hollywood's leading stars, including Audrey Hepburn, has died of cancer at his home in the South of France. He was 82 years old.
In 1953, Paramount Studios assigned Bob to photograph the then unknown Audrey Hepburn - it was to be the start of a long friendship. Bob's work, both on and off set, captured the candid beauty of Audrey throughout her career and in 2002 he released a book of Audrey photographs called, Audrey, An intimate collection and in 2008 Life published a tribute to Audrey featuring Bob's work. Bob's work contains some of the most memorable and recognisable photographs of Audrey.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his sons Christopher, Stephen and David, a daughter, Catherine, and eight grandchildren.
